This story has some overlapping characters from Use Me, although you do not need to read that book first these can be stand alone novels.  These are a good mix of romance and mystery.

This story follows Ashtyn's older brother Ethan, who is a detective on the police force.  Ethan is going through a rough patch and is now divorced.  One night after a shift he goes to a bar down the street and runs into his old high school girlfriend, Reagan, who broke his heart 20 years ago.  Reagan is also divorced and returned to their hometown to go back to school to become a CSI Investigator. They strike up a relationship and it is like they are starting back up from where they left off 20 years ago.  Now as the relationship is moving forward quickly, there are  a string of murders happening.  They are starting to become personal.  Ethan has to protect Reagan but solving these murders is harder than he thought.

Use Me by Kimberly Knight

Use Me
by Kimberly Knight
This is a crazy books that includes nutty exs, stalkers, high school bullies grown up and love.  Honestly I was drawn in and read it pretty quickly.
Rhys is a sportscaster and Ashtyn is a night news reporter.  Rhys comes home from work and finds his girlfriend of two years cheating on him.  Ashtyn comes home and her boyfriend of a little less than a year breaks up with her when he finds her wedding board on Pinterest (Doesn't every girl have one of those??).  They both show up at the same bar that night and Ashtyn uses Rhys as a boyfriend to stop a man from hitting on her and that is how the friendship begins.  They decide that they are going to use each other anytime they need help or need an excuse to get away from an ex.  Soon they start to develop feeling for each other, but being in the spotlight gathers attention and stalkers.  Can they get past their exs, the stalker who sends flowers with creepy messages and find happiness after they have both been in terrible relationships?

Stealing My Best Friend by Nadia Lee

Stealing My Best Friend
by Nadia Lee
I am on a Nadia Lee kick, she writes cute little romance books that you can't help but smile at while you are reading.  This is a friends to lovers book and is pretty adorable.  My only complaint is that the main female lead spent a lot of time crying and sometimes, I just wanted to tell her to pull herself together and put the tears away but I mean, some girls cry a lot, so it is pretty realistic in that idea.
Vincent and Emily have been best friends forever.  They are always there for each other and even block out their schedules for Sunday ice cream every week (Ahh)!  Vincent is a rich fella, while Emily is a middle class girl. Now adults, Emily has a very successful wedding planning business and is well sought after and Vincent works for the family business. Vincent has family dinner and learns that his parents have arranged for him to marry the neighbor girl so he can take over the business, and if he chooses not to do this he will not get his inheritance.  Emily is heartbroken and Vincent does not want this to happen.  Vincent asks Emily to plan the wedding even though Emily has been in love with Vincent since she was 17, she can't tell him no.  While this is all going on Vincent knows he can't get married because of Emily, but is he willing to risk his job and his inheritance or can he keep Emily as his best friend and be unhappily married?

Court High Series by Eden O'Neill

Court High Series
 by Eden O'Neill

So... the Court High Series is pretty amazing.  I read all four books in about three days, but if we are going to be honest they are only about 160-180 pages each, but they are full of impact, action and honestly a lot of me saying what the crap is going on or who is telling the truth in this book!  It is a mystery and romance wrapped together and I thought I knew who done it, but boy was I wrong!  This is one that is hard to put down.  Thank goodness it is Kindle Unlimited- but I am also excited because they are doing a spin off for some of the characters as stand alone books!  YAY!

Book Order

Ruthless Knight by Ashley Jade

Ruthless Knight
by Ashley Jade
Ruthless Knight is a stand alone novel but includes the characters from Cruel Prince.  Honestly I might actually like this story better than Cruel Prince and typically I am a fan of first books, but I have to remember it is not a sequel.  This one definitely gives you a look inside the characters and you learn all the good, bad and ugly about them.  The third standalone novel in the Royal Hearts Academy will be available in August and it is about the little sister Bianca.  You can bet that I will be reading that one as well.  This is a Kindle Unlimited book and quite honestly a quick read. Like yesterday it takes place in high school but this is most definitely an adult book.
Cole (Jace's brother) is the popular quarterback and Sawyer (Dylan's best friend) is the church girl nerd.  They hang out in different crowds.  Sawyer is not your size 2 cheerleader and she gets made fun of quite a bit by the girls and sometimes even the boys at school.  Cole has always been fascinated by Sawyer, she always stays true to herself and is the most honest person he has met.  Cole is moody and is so hot and cold with Sawyer that she doesn't know what his true feelings are.  Cole goes out of his way to search for Sawyer even if it seems out of character and everyone is questioning their relationship, because Cole should not be dating someone like Sawyer but he does not care and he can't stay away.  Will the demons in Cole scare Sawyer away, but will Sawyer's secrets scare Cole away?

Cruel Prince by Ashley Jade

Cruel Prince
by Ashley Jade

You might think this is a young adult book because it takes place in a high school setting, but this is not a young adult book at all.  It can be graphic and down right mean, I truly hope these things do not happen in high school, but it made for a great, friends-enemies-lovers book.  This is a kindle unlimited book so I read an ad about it and decided to give it a go.
Dylan and Jace became best friends when they were 8 and that lasted till 8th grade when all the sudden Dylan's dad got a new job and she had to move away.  both Dylan and Jace lost their mothers' when they were young and they both needed someone they could trust and they turned to each other.  When Dylan left, Jace would not answer her calls or talk to her.  Four years later Dylan returns to town and Jace hates her and wants to make her life miserable so she will leave for good and not come back.  Dylan is not sure why Jace hates her so much and she can't seem to get an answer from him.  Jace is now dating the girl who made Dylan's life miserable in middle school, while Dylan is talking to the one boy that Jace can't stand.  The chemistry between these two is off the charts and there are so many twists and turns that you never expect.  This was one that was hard to put down!

The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams

The Bromance Book Club
by Lyssa Kay Adams
I was at Target looking at all the new release romance books and this one caught my attention, it seemed so different then the ones I typically read.  I loved the idea with the story line and honestly one of my favorite teacher book bloggers said she loved this one so I knew I needed to get my hands on it.  This book did not disappoint and I am excited to read the next one!  I would give this book a good 5 stars!  It was a lot of fun to read and honestly the story line is different than all the others I have read!
The Bromance Book Club is about a professional baseball player who is going through a rough patch in his marriage.  Gavin and Thea got married after only knowing each other for a couple months and found out she was pregnant.  When they start having troubles in their marriage Gavin turns to his friends and teammates, and they invite him to become a part of a book club they host.  They read romance novels to learn things that women love and how books respond to situations that are similar in their lives.  Gavin does not always listen to the advice others give him and when he thinks he is moving forward with his wife something happens to push him back again.  Will the book clubs guys be able to help Gavin with his marriage problems?

You had me at Hello by Mhairi McFarlane

You had me at Hello
by Mhairi McFarlane
I would give this book 3 out of 5 stars just because it did seem to drag on and honestly in most romance books you are just used to having a happy ever after but this one... I was not sure!  Just like with Mhairi's other books they are full of emotions and they hit you with all the feelers that make you question a lot of things about your own life.
Ben and Rachel were best friends in college they did everything together and he was he protector and person she relied on for everything.  They were always there for each other.  Then when they graduated, Rachel never heard from Ben again.  Rachel has been with her boyfriend for 13 years and they are engaged and she is not happy and she calls off the wedding.  She starts questioning the whole relationship and looks to her friends for support.  Rachel is still friends with everyone she was friends with in college except Ben.  One day Rachel runs into Ben and learns he is now married and doing well.  Ben and Rachel strike up their friendship and a lot of feelings come forth and you go through all the emotions with them.  Why did Ben leave and never reach out to her?  Can Rachel mend her broken heart after her failed engagement?

The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary

The Flatshare
by Beth O'Leary
About eight months ago, I was looking through the online library and this was a new release book and after looking up a little bit of information it seemed like a great option for me.  A couple days ago, I finally got the email that it was my turn to read the book.  I honestly forgot that I put a reserve in for it, so that was a pleasant surprise. Then I had to go to my reserves and cancel a bunch because I became impatient waiting about bought a bunch of the books, so the was a good surprise. That is until I started reading it and I really had a tough time getting into it.  I finally started enjoying it a little at about the 30% mark, then it was a book where I really just was not drawn into it,  I would give this book probably 2 1/2 stars out of 5, because they did a good job with the descriptions of the characters it just was not a favorite for me.
Tiffy has been in and out of the same relationship for a couple years, they live together and continue living together even during their breaks.  One of the breaks he starts seeing someone new and quickly becomes engaged and Tiffy realizes she needs to move out, but she can't afford much and she is lucky to find Leon who has a cheap flat and works from 6 at night till 9 in the morning and Tiff works 9 to 6.  So they never have to see each other and on the weekends Leon stays with his girlfriend so they really do not have to see each other ever.  Tiffy moves in not actually meeting Leon only his girlfriend and they leave notes for each other and that is how they become friends is from the notes they leave.  The notes get more personal until one day when Tiffy oversleeps and runs into Leon in person and since that encounter they can't stop thinking about each other.  Can they continue to follow the agreements/ made at the beginning of the flatshare, or will they want to continue seeing each other in person

If I Never Met You by Mhairi McFarlane

If I Never Met You
by Mhairi McFarlane
5 out of 5!
Honestly, I loved this book, it took you on a rollercoaster of emotions and It made me want to be best friends with the character.  Mhairi McFarlane does a great job of drawing you into the book and hitting all the feelers.  I am already ordering another one of her books, because it was written well and honestly was emotional.  Sometimes you need a good emotional book!
If I Never Met You is about a 36 year old women named Laurie, she is in a long term relationship with Dan.  They have been together for 18 years and everything seems perfect.  One night she gets home and he wants to end things, stating he feels like he never got to have fun he doesn't know who he is, all that crap, he doesn't know if he wants to have kids blah blah blah.  So they end things and he turns around within two months has another girl pregnant and that leaves Laurie questioning so many things about her relationship with Dan.  In comes the playboy of the office Jamie, he needs to be taken seriously so he can get a promotion.  Jamie and Laurie get trapped in an elevator together and decide to get drinks together after.  While getting those drinks Jamie comes up with the idea that they should fake date, so he looks like he is serious and not a playboy and she can make Dan jealous.  This relationship will play out of social media and everyone will think it is true.  It is a win win situation, but what happens when you start to get to comfortable with your fake boyfriend.  What if your fake boyfriend is not what he seems to be and is totally different than what you thought?  They were both warned that fake relationships have consequences, can they avoid the consequences of playing everyone?

You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle

You Deserve Each Other
by Sarah Hogle
Not going to lie, this is probably one of my favorites that I have read recently.  I would give this book 4.8 stars out of 5.  While I laughed and smiled at a lot of the book, some of it made me question if grown adults really would do this to each other.  I also would sometimes get annoyed with Naomi because I felt like she did not take her role in the relationship as seriously as she should have.
You Deserve Each Other takes place after you already fall in love and are engaged, but what happens when you are questioning whether or not you are fully in love with your fiancé? What if you are questioning if marriage is a good idea, four months before the wedding?
Nicholas and Naomi got engaged after dating for 11 months, they moved into together and things have not been the same since.  Nicholas is a successful dentist while Naomi works at a second hand store that is not successful.  Nicholas has an overbearing mother who has taken over wedding planning and doesn't even bother to ask the bride her opinion.  Nicholas makes sure to always get his mother flowers but Naomi once mentioned they were a waste so she never gets them now.  Naomi doesn't want to end the engagement because she knows she would be to blame so she decides to start playing pranks on Nicholas and Nicholas plays them back.  As they are playing pranks and being fun and honest with each other, can the feelings come back and will they go through with the wedding?

Faking it with the Frenemy by Nadia Lee

Faking it with the Frenemy
by Nadia Lee
Kindle Unlimited title here!  This is a cute book, that is not smutty!  Sometimes you just need a cute romance book with a little action but not enough to make you blush when reading it!  This is that book.  I would say this is a 4 out of 5 stars book.  I enjoyed it, parts of it seemed to drag on for me, and it isn't my favorite of the month, but still it was good.

Wyatt and Kim grew up together and dated for a while in high school.  The relationship ended on not great terms because of some text messages sent, and they graduated and never thought they would see each other again.  Wyatt went on to get married to Kim's biggest tormentor in high school and they divorced and Wyatt then moves into Kim's apartment as her new next door neighbor.  He has a sweet daughter and is now a billionaire.  Kim has to tolerate him now because he is her neighbor and he has dealings with her work.  Kim has been told she needs to help find Wyatt a date for the wedding of his ex wife.  Can Kim and Wyatt handle working together?  Are past feelings going to work their way back?  Is Wyatt really the bad guy that Kim thinks he is?  Is Kim really the girl that got away?

Pushing Patrick by Megyn Ward

Pushing Patrick
by Megyn Ward
This is a book that was a Facebook post, that is also a Kindle Unlimited book.  So therefore it was a great choice!  I liked this book up until the end when it left you with a cliff hanger... I HATE THAT!  Just give me the answers and not make me read another book.  I have way to many books to read to get sucked into having to read others to get the answers I need.

Patrick and Cari have been best friends since he drove her home four years earlier, when she caught her boyfriend (Patrick's roommate) cheating on her.  A friendship developed and Patrick is always the perfect gentleman and Cari is a girl who constantly dates jerk guys.  When Cari's roommate  gets engaged she has to move out, and Patrick suggested Cari move in with him.  She agrees but spends a lot of time torturing Patrick and teasing him, by wearing his clothes and leaving the bedroom door open when she changes.  The problem is that Patrick has had feelings for her for years, but he can only take so much because you don't want to push Patrick to far...

I Hate You by Ilsa Madden-Mills

I Hate You
by Ilsa Madden-Mills
First read for the month of June,  not going to lie, I started it last night but this was one that grabbed my attention and kept me interested.  This is a Kindle Unlimited Read that was also a Facebook post I read, I seem to have many of those huh!  I love reading the little snips and getting involved from the get go!  This was a quick read for me that I really did enjoy, the characters were relatable and you felt a lot of emotions with them.

This is set at a college between a star football player and a girl with book smarts.  She had her heart broke in high school, so she has a set of rules to help make sure she keeps herself safe.  Blaze and Charm kiss at a party freshman year, ever though they didn't know each other.  Then junior year they hook up a couple times, until he breaks up with her at her own sorority party in front of everyone.  Now, she hates him and wants nothing to do with him, he humiliated her and he can't seem to get her out of his mind.  Can Charm forgive Blaze for the past, but the bigger question is can she let her heart love, because she is guarded and he already hurt her once?

Monday Night Guy
by Liz Lovelock

This is a cute young Adult Romance Book that takes place on the college scene.  It is a quick read that has you smiling like a school girl at some parts and questions why girls put up with jerks in other parts.  When you read the description on Amazon, it does not mention that their is an abusive relationship that is coming to light in the story, but I would have read it anyways.  Sometimes you need a light read and this one for sure was it for me.  It is pretty innocent and best of all it was a free read on Kindle!!

This cute book is about two college students Parker and Addison, who kissed one night at a party a year ago.  Addison has a boyfriend, the captain of the football team.  She begged him to forgive her and take her back and he did, but now her relationship has been abusive and he is very controlling.  Parker is captain of the basketball team and since then, enjoys teasing Addison until he sees what her boyfriend is like and he becomes worried about Addison. Addison leaves work one night and shows up at a party at her boyfriends house and finds him and Parker's girlfriend in bed.  Now both Addison and Parker are single, but their exes are begging them for forgiveness now.  Parker now makes it part of his routine every Monday to stop into the café that Addison works at, no make sure she is doing ok, but Addison has made it clear she has no intent on getting her heart broke again.  Can Parker help tear down Addison's walls and help her to see she deserves so much more and he can be the one to do it.

The Dare by Lauren Landish

The Dare
By Lauren Landish

So this is a book that I really was really excited to read, it sounds just like the books that I get sucked into.  But honestly, this one just did not do much for me.  I just was not drawn into the storyline, I really did not want to finish reading it, but I always finish the books I start. I just thought it was very unrealistic and kind of immature. This is one that honestly I am glad to have finished and am now ready to move on to the next book!
Colton is at the top of the company,  and Elle works on the first floor and has admired him for years and he has never noticed her or acknowledged her.  Elle and her friend Tiffany play the I dare you game a lot and one of the dares was Elle to leave a mark of some sort in Colton's office, so she follows through and he catches her making copies of her butt on his copy machine and leaving them in his office.  He then promotes her to work with him, and they have a hard time keeping their feelings for each other out of the office.

If you just want to have a stupid smile on your face when you are reading, this might be the book for you.  I for sure had that stupid smile reading these two bicker back and forth.  I also really enjoyed that these were people my age (maybe a little older) that were both single, never married semi normal people.  Most of the time when it is a story about people in their 30s and 40s they have been married or have kids and quite frankly that can be annoying!  This is a story that I saw on a Facebook Ad and bought it and was drawn in from there.  I am not mad that I scrolled and found it!  I will probably be reading more from this author, it was fun, quick and really drew me in!  Oh and it is also on Kindle Unlimited so that is a plus... even though I bought it.

Dominic is a hard working man at his mother's magazine firm.  Ally is a girl who is just trying to make ends meet and has what seems like hundreds of jobs and it still dirt poor.  Dominic is a grump and thinks he can do what he wants and Ally just makes him follow one simple rule at the pizza restaurant… no phones.  Well that starts a whirl of some pretty amazing arguments, and Ally's boss comes over and fires her on the spot.  Dominic is at lunch with his mother who can't believe he was acting this way and she is on her way back to work where she spots Ally and offers her a job at the magazine, now her and grumpy man who got her fired now work in the same building.  So you know the arguments aren't going to stop but really who knew arguing with someone could be so much fun!!

Big Rock by Lauren Blakely

Big Rock
by Lauren Blakely

This is a friends to lovers/ fake romance turned real feelings book.  It is a super quick read that is definitely rated R!  This was a book that I purchased after I saw ads on Facebook for it.  Lauren Blakely has many books, so might try some others out and see if I like them!  I would give it a 4 out of 5.  It was good but some of the parts were just too much, but I guess that is what makes the story!

Spencer and Charlotte are business partners and own a couple bars together.  They were friends in college and have always been there for each other when they need each other, through failed engagements, media issues, when they need someone to step in when they are getting hit on at the bar, they always have each others backs.  Spencer has been tagged as a playboy, but in order to help his father land a business deal he needs to put the playboy side of his life aside and act like a committed man, that is where Charlotte comes into play, Spencer just throws out at the dinner that he is committed and has calmed down and it actually engaged to Charlotte.  Spencer talks to her the next day and agrees to be engaged as long as it helps her keep her ex-fiancée away!  They only need to act this out for one week, till his fathers deal goes through and then they can go back to their normal best friend lives, but they make ground rules and one is do not fall in love, but what happens if they do?

Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker

Say You Still Love Me
by K.A. Tucker
Say You Still Love Me is a quick read about a two teens that fell in love at summer camp and then run into each other 13 years later.  This is a good read that does keep you hooked.  It is written where every other chapter takes place 13 years ago and then the next is present time.  So you get to see the past and present and read the story from both time periods.  I would say it was a quick read and it is written very well.

Piper is the rich girl whose mother wants her to experience being a normal teen, so she sends her to a summer camp to be a counselor.  Kyle is a poor boys whose dad is in prison and he doesn't always follow the rules that are set up at camp.  When Piper and Kyle first see each other they know they like each other and are going to have the best summer.  At the end of the summer job they are in love but Piper never hears from Kyle, she calls him, texts him and he does not reply to her at all and she is heartbroken.  As adults Piper is being prepped to take over her fathers business and has more money than she knows what to do with.  One day when she is walking into work she sees a familiar person and it happens to be Kyle, the newest security guard in her building. When Piper approaches him, Kyle does not even remember her name and she is shocked.  Does Kyle seriously not remember her, because for Piper she can't forget the boy that broke her heart 13 years ago.

Fake It Til You Break It by Meagan Brandy

Fake It 'Til You Break
by Meagan Brandy

This was a book that showed up on my Facebook and it was free to read with my Kindle Unlimited Subscription. Honestly my first thought, was To All the Boys I've Loved Before, and yes it is similar but it is oh so different as well.  This is like the rated more mature version of that book with a lot more twists and turns and kids who do not have great family lives.  It held my interest thought the whole story and I kept asking myself what is going to happen, so therefore I kept reading and finished this in about three days!  I really did like it and the plot line kept you reading and reading!  Great book!

It follows the characters Nico and Demi.  Demi and Nico are neighbors and were friends when they were kids but one day that just stopped until they get partnered up in Chemistry and have to be lab partners.  Demi is not a fan of this because she has been lab partners with Alex (who she has been  crushing on for a couple years) for the last three years.  Nico tells Demi that Alex would notice her if they fake date, but they have to do everything real couples do because it needs to look real, but oh boy does it look real.  Can these actually real date, when she has dance, he has football, they have parents that have a lot of problems and they are constantly being pulled away from each other from friends and exes?  What happens when real feelings start taking over, can they fake it?

I love me some Lauren Layne books, and this one is no different.  This was a quick read with fun characters and a story line that draws you in.

Ian is a broker on wall street and Lara is an investigator who looks into brokers who might be doing some insider trading.  Ian had a gut instinct and made millions of dollars when he sold stock and then a month later the company tanked.  Lara's company received a tip that Ian might have known about the company and Lara is sent to interview everyone closest to Ian.  Ian is a charming, rich and good looking man and Lara needs to keep it professional but is having a tough time.  This case has a lot resting on it, if Lara can find the evidence her professional goals can be reached, but can she keep her personal feelings out of the situation?

We're Just Friends by J.P. Comeau

We're Just Friends
by J.P. Comeau

So I signed up for kindle unlimited because well there was one book I really wanted to read and it seemed like a good idea.  There are a lot of books on there.  This is one that popped up on my lists of books recommended for me.  I read the reviews, read the summary and thought I would love this book.  The book was good, not great.  It was a shorter book and it honestly left me with some questions and that always drives me bonkers when questions are left unanswered.  It could be that I am the only person who wanted to know those answers, but whatever!
We're Just Friends is about Jake and Julianna who were best friends in high school.  Julianna was bullied by the popular crowd that Jake was a part of and he put a stop to it and the two were friends from that moment on.  After graduation, Jake left and never looked back.  He became a billionaire business man who is constantly in media for his playboy behavior and Julianna went on to get married and have a daughter, and believes the rumors she has read about Jake.  Julianna is going through a divorce and Jake comes back to town to visit his family and calls Julianna to meet up.  They both had feelings for each long ago and never acted on it, after meeting up they realize they the old feelings are still there.  Can Julianna get past his playboy behavior and trust him and can Jake leave his business and his past life and settle down?

Yours in Scandal by Lauren Layne

Yours in Scandal
by Lauren Layne

Back to what I love, reading Lauren Layne Books.  This is a Man of the Year novel set, and I believe there are two books in this series (the second is released in September), but they can be read as stand alone books! Lauren Layne writes in a way that makes the books hard to put down and they are such quick reads!  Also bonus points, I just started Kindle Unlimited and this was a book on there.... I WAS SHOCKED!!!  So that is an added bonus, and the other two are on there as well!

Yours in Scandal is about the New York Mayor, Robert, who was just named Man of the Year.  Robert is single and has a squeaky clean background.  He is almost done with his eight years as mayor and people are starting to question why he is still single and it is something that might hurt him as he gets ready to run for Governor.  Enter  Adeline the party planner, who is hired by Robert to throw one of his events as Mayor.  Adeline happens to be the current Governor's daughter, and she has a very scandalous history. She now finds herself working for her father's opponent in the next election for Governor.  Should Adeline worry that her father's opponent is trying to get close to her to get at her father or should she trust the chemistry building between them?

The After Series by Anna Todd

After, After We Collided, After We Fell, After Ever Happy, Before
by Anna Todd
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Yup, I am putting this train wreck of a series all together.  I was completely obsessed with this and it was terribly wonderful.  I was having a wonderful To All the Boys movie party with my friends when this new Netflix movie was brought up.  I agreed to go and watch it and when I found out it was a book, I bought number one and then the next day bought the whole series, I was hooked.  This series gets 5 stars because I read all of them in about a week and was completely consumed with these books. They are a little or a lot for mature readers.  But I just had to know what was going to happen to Hardin and Tessa. They have the most toxic relationship that you really can't help but cheer for, in some strange not normal way.  I would be like "oh they can get through this" but in my own personal life I would never and I mean NEVER put up with the crap that Tessa does.  Like I said before this series consumed all my free time for a solid week and I am not sorry about it.  Now the books are being rotated around to my friends so they can all have all the emotions that go along with After.
Tessa is a sweet girl who always has done the right thing, has the perfect boyfriend from high school and does really well in school.  In comes bad boy Hardin, who can have any girl he wants, has a pretty rough history and for some reason can't stay away from Tessa.  Tessa becomes unable to resist Hardin and spends all her time with him and falls for him, even when everyone including Hardin tells her she should stay away from him.  Tessa ends things with her high school boyfriend and being with Hardin has her questioning who she is and who she really wants to be.  This series follows the relationship ups and downs of Hessa! (ahhh how adorable)

How did I fall upon this book... Facebook actually.  I follow a bunch of Facebook book club pages and this one popped up.  So I clicked on it an read some reviews and decided to give it a go.  I am giving this book 3 1/2 stars just because it seemed pretty predictable to me.  There was not much that really had me on the edge of my seat wondering what could happen next. Overall it was a nice read, just very predictable!
Logan is a star quarterback who had a hot temper, he got kicked off his college football team for fighting and is basically on his last resort.  He gets recruited to a new school and this coach is very serious and has a long list of rules.  One of his rules is no dating, seems ridiculous but whatever.  Anyways, Logan is really trying to follow the coaches rules, and want to do well for himself.  He wants to graduate and be better than his parents and have a 4.0.  He gets a math tutor, who happens to be the very off limits coaches daughter, Jess.  They have chemistry and very flirty encounters but Logan and Jess both know the rules that he father has set.  Can they follow the rules and just be friends, even though their hearts want more?

One of my favorite young adult books that I have read was the To All the Boys Series, and this book is the cousin to that series.  If you like the fake dating in high school story line then this is a great choice for you! I give it 4 stars because I think it is pretty tough to top To All the Boys I've Loved Before.  Although I could see myself reading this one again just for a quick fun little read.

Sally and Becks have been best friends since early elementary school.  Sally is a girl who loves Harry Potter and is constantly being set up on dates by her best girl friend.  Becks is the popular soccer player, who constantly get attention from all the girls in school.  Sally and Becks have a very strong friendship, but what happens when Sally asks Becks to be her fake boyfriend to get her friend to stop setting her up on dates.  I mean what could possibly go wrong pretending to be in a relationship with your best friend.

Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey

Waiting for Tom Hanks

⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐
This book is your classic rom com movie in book format.  Has many references to Tom Hanks in his rom com films. I give this book 5 stars, it is a feel good book that had me staying up extra late to read.  When I finish a book in 24 hours, it must be pretty good!

Annie is a girl who has come up with a reason for every relationship to not work.  She has been known for asking for specific questions on dates based on the rom com films she loves so much.  Annie is excited when it is announced that a rom com is going to be shot in her town.  She and her friend go exploring and she turns right into the leading actor, Drew, and spills her coffee down the front of him.  She gets a job as the directors assistant and can't seem to stay away from Drew.  She feels like he is not her happily ever after because of his past.  Can Annie get past her idea of her own Tom Hanks and see what is right in front of her?

I read so many reviews on this book, some were great and some were not so great.  I am a sucker for a great romance book so I wanted to love this one, but sadly I did not.  I tried so hard but I spent most of this book frustrated at the characters.
.
Jess moves to Notting Hill in London to start a new career and moves in with a good friend.  There are four people living in this house together and one happens to be the good looking Alex.  Alex and Jess spend time flirting with each other but never act on it.  Throughout the book they continue to flirt all while dating other people (this drives me crazy).  So this book is about their flirtatious attitudes towards each other while being involved with other people. I give it two stars, just because the author does a great job with getting you involved in the story and you really can picture everything that happens.  I just did not like the story line, that is a personal preference though!
